Last week on our Mentorship platform, we asked our community the question “What is a valuable skill to have when working in a management role?” and we got some incredible answers.

There are many aspects that go into running a business such as marketing, revenue, product development, and in-person location management. But how often do your own management skills come as a priority? This aspect can tend to fall to the back burner as many of the other tasks are more apparent in day-to-day needs. It’s a hard task to honestly assess your own skills in a role but it raises the question of how effective can you be as a manager if you aren’t growing your own skills? Good management skills can make or break a team!

With that being said, we wanted to share some of the great thoughts on valuable management skills to get you thinking about how you can improve in your own role.

To get involved in the conversation, you can join the TCC Canada Mentorship Community here! We are looking to support as many local businesses and entrepreneurs as possible and this is just one of the many ways we are doing that!
