Last week on our Mentorship platform, we asked our community the question “What is a valuable skill to have when working in a management role?” and we got some incredible answers.

There are many aspects that go into running a business such as marketing, revenue, product development, and in-person location management. But how often do your own management skills come as a priority? This aspect can tend to fall to the back burner as many of the other tasks are more apparent in day-to-day needs. It’s a hard task to honestly assess your own skills in a role but it raises the question of how effective can you be as a manager if you aren’t growing your own skills? Good management skills can make or break a team!

With that being said, we wanted to share some of the great thoughts on valuable management skills to get you thinking about how you can improve in your own role.
